Nice! The illustrious missing 'Site 10' has finally been identified!

I'll get this added in this afternoon...

I am still curious as to why the sites are on the air on 6.25 KHz split yet all licenses are 12.5 KHz split.

This is probably the first time I see this anywhere.

Same here. I've never seen a system on 800MHz that used 6.25k splits in my life & travels.

Just like the NJT TETRA system, NJ's gotta be the first for a few different things!

Could the 6.25 kHz splits perhaps be a new FCC mandate that we are not aware of to fit more users in the crowded 800 MHz spectrum, while utilizing P25 Phase 2 standards?

May be, but I would imagine the license would also reflect the 6.25 KHz spacing.

Otherwise how would a new agency applying for a new frequency perform co-channel or adjacent channel interference studies?

The only thing missing is the site NAC. If anyone can grab that, it would be most helpful!

I received a message from my contact that the NJ Turnpike Radio Techs will be performing various radio checks along the entire length of the GSP and Turnpike for the next few days. If anyone is in the area of these two highways, can you run unitrunker on the closest site to you and catch any new voice frequencies that show up, since the ones listed in the FCC database are different than the ones the NJTA are using. ;)

Getting quite a bit of traffic on TG 27 via the Woodbridge site today. The one unit ID'd himself as '1702' & called 'Operations'.

Do you guys who live down here know if that was a NJTP or GSP unit?

I did not hear today's traffic, but last few days when I heard Operations and various units it was determined to be on the lower end of the Parkway, such as Atlantic and Cape May counties.

I also was monitoring the Woodbridge site.

It's the GSP radio techs testing the Swainton site link with the Woodbridge site. I've heard them loud and clear, and so far, all testing seems to be superior to the 220 LTR system.

Talkgroups 26 and 27 have been very active on the GSP from Woodbridge to Cape May with GSP Maint activity. For those who have not been able to monitor them for the past 10 years due to the 200 MHz Passport TRS, you can now hear them again on P25 Phase 2. All audio has been loud, and clear with no distortion.

Which site are you picking them up on ? I monitor the Bloomfield site from work in Bergen County and have not heard a thing about 2 weeks ago when I had the system locked in.

Thanks

Woodbridge site and points South, when affiliated to a specific site (Swainton, Wall, Bass River, Barnegat, etc.). Nothing on Bloomfield as of yet.

Radio stopped on what was either TG 25 or 26 earlier this evening on the Bloomfield site. Didn't get to the hold key quick enough.

I observed one of the Turnpike Supervisors pick up trucks in Northern NJ with the new 800 antennas today.
I assume the system will become more active in coming weeks.

I read they have until October to have the system fully running when the lease with the current system expires,I was able to decode the Barnegat site with Pro96Com early this morning with a band opening. Some affiliations to TGs 25 and 27, I've added some radios to the wiki page.

Currently, most of the GSP trucks are now 800 MHz as of last week, while the Turnpike Division is still 200 MHz. I have observed the following during my travels:

Talkgroup 25: GSP Maint Ops North Districts
Talkgroup 26: GSP Maint Ops Central Districts
Talkgroup 27: GSP Maint Ops Southern Districts

I have also observed Talkgroups 15 and 18 in the southern division of the GSP in use on the Great Egg, Swainton and New Gretna sites, but was unable to catch what the talkgroup name was. While I have not 100% confirmed the three listed above, I can say that that is the observed use. I'm still waiting for a 100% verification before I submit it to the database.
