Where is everyone from, and what do you listen to.

Me I listen to the cop's and some fire and a little Air stuff. I have three scanners that I can turn on that sit on my desk top, and a few more that are older and still work.

I am Stanwood and that would be the very north end of snohomish County.

Puyallup valley here, I listen to just about everything except air/milair, though 121.5 is in all my scanners in the 'always on for emergencies' bank.

I'm back in Spokane after being in the Lynnwood, Marysville area for the last 12 years. Kinda of wierd being back in my old stomping grounds. Nice to listen to old friends on the PD channels, but I'm still catching up on all the "NEW" stuff going on over here. IWN for example, along with the ID IMARS(sp?). Both the IWN and IMARS look to be in development mode right now and there is talk of spokane county agencies going to a new trunked digital format. There sure is a lot more digital going on here then I thought there would be.

Are you hearing any traffic on the Idaho systems yet? Born and raised in Spokane but living in Issaquah now for 3 yrs.! I travel back and forth at least once a month and listen to everything I can find along the I-90 corridor with a BC-T15, but I have been thinking about adding a digital unit too, in either one of the GRE's or the Uniden 996. I would be curious about what you hear, either over the air or word of mouth, and what freqs they are showing up on.

The Idaho system is not fully operational yet. That is local agencies are not using it, but you can get a lock on the CC and it comes up as the same ID information listed on this site for that system. The Justice IWN system has about 4 channels broadcasting a CC right now. This is something new that has popped up in the last couple months. I still get Digital hits of FBI stuff on the conventional channels. The local AFB also has gone to a M36 VHF system with digital comms. The airport with it's various agencies also has some digital comms as well. When I first got my 396 I was worried I would not be able to put the digital to use, but once I started searching I've found it all over.

Introduction

Just a quick check in for the roll call...

Up on Queen Anne here. Currently scanning Police & Fire in King, Snohomish, & Pierce Counties, WSP, some inter op state channels, USCG & various marine freqs, along with the Ham bands and misc. downtown business radio freq.

Currenlty intending to get my Ham ticket in the next few months and devote more time in build a good shack.

Good freq list over at Intercept Northwest.

Thanks.

Possibly a new GRE 300 soon??? Have an outdoor antenna on my deck for the 780 and 9000! Who has a good list of Taxicab freqs for the eastside or sound areas? Always looking to trade freqs and meet new people scanning in the area..

Monroe/Sultan area, I listen to Fire/EMS/LE. I have also been working on getting my Amateur Radio stuff set up, and getting all of the scoop on the local repeaters.

What do you hear on 416.000? It should be a P25 freq used in/around 904 West Riverside, Spokane.

I do not get anything on 416.0000, but I do on 417.2000 and 415.2000. Those come up Federal Protective Service. Mostly only hear when someone arrives at 904 riverside. There was one incident involving a person refusing to leave, but they had the local PD come and remove them. Otherwise it's very quiet. I'm wondering if they will switch to the IWN system when it's fully operational.
