Just turned 81 in January, tired of reading so much and thought that scanning would add some interest. Problem is the scanner (Pro 95) manual is not "user friendly", at least to me. Anybody know any scanning manuals? Like Scanning for Dummies" for example? Thanks. Otis

Find me one too, for a Pro-96. Needs to include how to program the trunk tracking stuff.
Well I will help trying to find it but I'm sure you can use google just as easy as I can.

Better yet, just buy the PC cable, DL Win95, and find someone with a file for your area. DL that file to your '95, tweak it a little based on your preference, and call it done.

Scanning for Dummies request re Pro 95

Thanks to all for your suggestions. Nothing comes easy I guess. But RS should be able to hire a good tech writer to turn out something easier to understand than the present manual. It is really bad. -- Otis1220

Welcome to scanning!

My Grandmother is 87 and she has been listening to scanners for years, LOVES IT! especially after she lost her vision. She used to love reading books, (true crimes and such), and would never miss COPS, Americas most wanted, etc...it's a shame she can't see, thank God for the scanner.

I hope you enjoy it as much as she, and I do!

If you have any questions idea's or just feel like shootin' the sh*t, this is certainly the place to come.
