After figuring out your in Russel County, VA and looking at the database.
I noticed is the County Sheriff Dispatch channels are encrypted and cannot be monitored with the 325P2.
Next when you created your Systems did you assigned a System Quick Key to each one?
Likewise the trunk system require the System Quick Key be assigned to each tower site.
Unless your traveling across the state I'd only program in the tower sites closest to your location.
Freescan doesn't work with P25P2 and NEXEDGE systems which are in use in your county.
Might need to download a demo version of Butel ARC-XT or Proscan to program those into you scanner.

I have a 325P2 and I noticed that Freescan doesn't always play well with it.

Ya I know the two sheriffs office channels are encrypted but they have one that isn’t. Im primarily interested in the fire ems channels. And I will add other stuff as I learn. But I’m getting nothing at the moment

Did you turn on the services you want to listen to?
Well I think so lol. Trying to figure this thing out
The 325P2 does not use service types. Only the Home Patrol/database scanners such as the HP-1/-2. x36HP & SDS series scanners utilize those.

I actually don’t. I had it checked in that photo because I was messing around with settings
You currently have GPS turned off (disabled) and are still not hearing anything?

Can you post your file, not just a partial screen shot?

FreeSCAN uses 'file type' extension *.996 so you would need to compress it into a *.zip file in order to attach to a post. Save your file, find it in Windows Explorer, and <right><click> then select 'Compress' from the pop-up menu. A *.zip file can be attached to a post.

First, I don’t assign quick keys and have no problem with the computer software aided downloads to my BCD325P2… and since the quick keys are assigned by the end user (us), they don’t come with what I chose to download. Second, try to receive the WX frequencies… you should be able to hear at least one of those. That will help determine if it’s a bad radio. Third, see if you can get someone else’s “known good” programming and load that. You can search on the RADIOREFERENCE.com Forums group for regional, listed by state, fellow scanner users for help.

There's a couple of good videos on YT for using Freescan. I just learned programming my BCD996P2 which is the desktop version of your scanner.

When you program a P25 system using FreeSCAN, set system type and site type to P25 Standard (Digital XT). That covers both P25 Phase 1 & 2.
