Is anyone in Colorado going to purchase a Uniden BCD536HP or BCD436HP? They look pretty cool and I want to play.

Sounds like we should all plan another meetup in Jan. Phase II systems might be online in the metro area right around the time they come out!

Its looking like mid to late January availability, surprised they won't be available for the holidays.

At this point I'm planning to get the 436HP early next year. I'm guessing the Whistler scanners will not support EDACS Provoice, which is my biggest gripe for all scanners. Whistler's 10/2/13 press release does refer to "newer modulation protocols including P25-Phase II", so perhaps this could include Mototrbo and NXDN, although I would be surprised.

Bu Tel just added a new video comparing to other Uniden base/mobile units, the screen is a lot bigger. I just wonder with the bigger screen on the handheld on how quickly the battery's will drain?

Surely for a device that is inevitably going to be $500, there would be a great internal lithium battery for worry-free charging, right?? Oh, still takes 3 AAs? More of the same.....give me a break...

I'm planning on ordering a 436HP, but after going through the manual, I didn't see a AC/DC adapter for the battery charger. Am I missing something or its not going to be offered for the rechargable batters.

The 436HP is actually powered over USB like the GRE PSR-800. Love having one standard cord for data and power!

I think I too will wait for these two new 436 hp and 536 hp that have the Home Patrol features in them to come o ut before spending anymore $$$$$
I just need a scanner that can pick up everything. One for car (handheld) and one for home (large base station).

I hope Uniden has fixed the data corruption problem that the 800 has due to powering via USB.
