Hello,

I have a CR-1 that I keep forgetting to send in for the encoder issue. I was going to send it in last year or the year before and was told to delay as they could not replace the encoder right away.

One news release said that the CR-1a has been discontinued, but no mention of it anywhere else. Universal Radio has the CR-1a in stock and it is not marked as discontinued.

CR-1 On/Off Power Lock

I just picked up a CR-1 for use while traveling. The On/Off volume control is very easy to accidentally turn on in my baggage. I created an On/Off lock for the CR-1 / CR-1a for those who have access to a 3D printer. Check out Thingiverse and search for CommRadio.

CR-1 Antenna Support

My local antennas (BNC Type) would not stay in the vertical position so I made an antenna support.
For those with access to a 3D printer, Go to Thingiverse and search for "CommRadio".

Miracle Whip antenna

I see where some users have found the Miracle Whip a decent antenna for using the CR-1a in traveling.

I am looking for this antenna, but can only find the E-Bay Chinese versions. Anyone know where I can get one from stateside?
