It was actually working to select foreign US military forces, the way I did to purchase DMR, but then a year or two ago they changed it so only US issued credit cards could be used.

Yes, know a couple of folks who managed to get around the issue by this method at the time and then a few of us were caught out when they changed it.

My Canadian credit card works just fine.
Not surprised given it gives Canada as an option in the dropdown, so I possibly should've stated North American issued cards then?

Even selecting the third option of 'Other' leads to an unsuccessful transaction and hangs up on issues such as valid Zip Codes (called Post Codes in Australia and consists of 4 digits) and Phone numbers (they too follow a different format from US equivalents).

Did you miss this.....

I updated my sds100 and it sucks. The reception sucks now. Is there a way I can fix this problem.
Yes this right here, got a BC246 that receives better at this point.

I did the update, but didn't get the waterfall option yet, but no time right now. A quick review after waiting a day in a half to make sure it wasn't just atmospheric conditions messing with me. I have noticed a pretty significant improvement on a few fronts. First off, they definitely fixed the bug I was complaining about for the last 3 years! Thank You @JoeBearcat for listening! The squelch can now be left at the two setting, and the radio opens up with even P25 control channels in the -115db area. It used to have to be around -90db, which was way too tight. Second, the P25 signals are up about -10db from before the update. I monitor systems 80 miles to the east of me (Riscon in RI) and 70 miles to the west of me in NYC, and they all show improvement. Third, the analog signals are now equal to my Whistlers. I didn't touch any of my filter settings, However, I previously had all of the NYPD precinct frequencies in the 470-476mhz range set to FM mode. They sounded better that way. After the update, they sound terrible. Changed them to NFM and they sound good. Sensitivity improved to where they are equal to my Whistlers.
Happy Holidays and Happy Scanning to all.

Have you tried changing your filter settings?
In lieu of that, have you tried changing your filter settings?
Not to mention, have you tried changing your filter settings?
Yes, yes I did, makes no difference, radio remains deaf as a rock... Well it will receive local FM radio and WX. this is a new meaning to NRQZ

Out running around doing last minute shopping 60 Miles away from home I noticed both SDS100's receiving VHF 150's as good if not better than the last trip this direction.
I travel every now and then to the edge of town monitoring a P25 Phase 1 system with my scanner before I would lose the control channel and the scanner would cycle through all of control channels. I noticed on a recent excursion that with the new firmware, I was able to eek an out a little more distance (half a mile or so?) It wasn’t anything huge, could very much be a placebo but it was a nice thing to find.

I've noticed no changes in reception on the 4 Phase 2 700 / 800 simulcast systems that I can receive - which is a good thing. Same with a SmartZone simulcast system with digital voice. I don't need VHF or UHF as those channels are typically "patched" into a talk group, so I cannot comment on those. I plan to buy the waterfall key for the SDS100 today (Christmas present to myself, lol.)

The new waterfall option seems to show why UHF is poor on the SDS100. They do not tell us what UNIT of measure the graph reflects or the the SCALE/DIV of the graph but when I use the waterfall on MAX HOLD the UHF noise floor is two or three lines higher than on 800mhz.

If you have a high noise floor on UHF, you might live close to a/some TV broadcast towers. I know my reception gets poor on VHF/UHF when I am driving near the local "antenna farm" where the bulk of FM Radio and TV broadcasters are transmitting from.

...$20 is very reasonable as well. Great job Uniden!!...
Just for informational purposes for those reading this thread, it didn't take long for one of "The Big 3" scanner sellers that sell upgrade keys (Bearcat Warehouse in this case) to add the Waterfall Key to the purchase of an SDS100 or SDS200 for a price of $29.99 (which is a 50% markup over Uniden's $20.00 price). That was very quick on their part seeing that the Waterful Key only became available from Uniden 4 days ago on 12-22-2023.

As of today (12-26-2023) the other 2 "Big" scanner sellers that sell upgrade keys (Zip Scanners and Scanner Master) have not yet added the Waterfall Key to their SDS100 and SDS200 product offerings. It will be interesting to see where their Waterfall Key pricing comes in compared to Bearcat Warehouse. FWIW

I haven't purchased it yet just waiting to see how it goes with everyone else. Not really sure what I would use it for. I suppose if I were to take a few tokes and watch it in the dark it might get pretty interesting.

I guess that may be true due to poor filtering in the SDSxxx, but I do not see a high noise floor on my portable analyzer nor my SDR dongles on the UHF bands.
