New STA license issued to the City of Charlotte NC in the 800 MHz band, no use listed on license, however supporting documentation states it is because beginning July 1, 2023, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department gained responsibility of additional jurisdiction outside the effective coverage area of the existing Charlotte UASI 800 MHz P25 radio system and a mobile tower trailer has been procured as a temporary coverage solution until the permanent site can be placed in service in the coming months. The City of Charlotte is reallocate existing frequencies from licenses WNGU623 & WQHF393 for a temporary tower deployment until the new permanent radio site can be completed.
