Alright I'm pretty tech savvy and my parents have always been avid scanner listeners.
but my brother and i have always tuned it out...
well now i work for SouthSide Fire And EMS Dept as a Dispatcher....so im trying to get into scanners.
My parents have a RS Pro-96 which they had programmed by this local celebrity "Frequency Man"
The organization of the frequencies though sucked (like i couldnt just scan SSFDs frequencies or etc)
so i got a cord and ARC 96 and have the subscription to here i have the frequencies categorized and set up.... but i dont get the "sites" thing i think their suppose to be repeaters if i under correctly but it wont let me like say load SSFDs talk group without one selected but when i select them it also sits and uses Police traffic and everything even if i tell the scanner to only scan the SSFD bank????
can anyone help me make sense of this please??
