Ok set input/output @ 3 grabbed the latest version like you suggested. Noticed it didn't come with a level meter so you are prob right about the "3" setting. Now just try to run TwoToneDetect and starts with what looks like the same info the previous screenshot and fails with the same error....

"FATAL: cannot locate cpu MHz in /proc/cpuinfo"

Frustrating !

Ashes, I saw your post in the raspberrypi.org forums also. See your private messages in this forum for a link and see if it helps out.

Disregard my above post.

Is there a maximum number of recipients for a tone set in v65? I just added a member to a tone set and it caused the program not to open. Removed the list from that tone set and it opened fine. Neither tones editor or twotonedetect will open.

Did you add the new member using the TonesEditor program or by manually editing the tones.cfg file? If the tones.cfg file isn't formatted properly it can cause the program to not start correctly. Using the TonesEditor should help ensure correct formatting.

I am unable to open the program- it hangs and then nothing comes up. I tried an earlier version, but nothing yet. Any suggestions?

Are there any errors in your log.txt file that might shed some light on the problem?

Ttd email failure

Does anyone have more then 10 Verizon numbers on 1 alert that the email still sends? I recently just put a 3rd TTD in service and created a gmail and yahoo email account tried both emails and the email fails to send with more then 10 Verizon phones on one alert i guess it thinks im sending spam or something and rejects the email. Does anyone else have a solution ? Thanks to Jim for all the help in trouble shooting this issue and we are still racking our brains. Anyone have ideas or a work around?

Thanks,
Nick

OK, this may be a stupid question but my alert text takes like 2-3 minutes to go thru now. It used to come thru on my phone like 20-30 seconds after the page and now it is taking close to 3 minutes. any ideas what might be causing this? the rest of the guys say there's is taking longer too, it is a mix between AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and Chariton Valley. It happens with all the carriers, not just a particular one.

I have a bunch of guys on my department all with Verizon and UScellular. Try selecting BCC in the settings for the program (i think it is in the config file not the tones file). I have heard the BCC can help on big groups.

I thought that I would report back that twotonedetect runs on Ubuntu 12.04 without issue. I have it installed on a web server and It has run without issue for 28 days. If anyone is interested I will do a writeup.

I have been trying to get TwoToneDetect to work on Ubuntu 12.04 with no luck at all. I would love to see what you did.

Regards,

Chris Andrist

Ok, it seems that Gmail has went to hell just in the last few weeks for some reason. I used to get pages sent within 20 seconds now it is taking almost 8 minutes going thru Gmail. Is there anybody else that is experiencing this or anybody that has a work around?

No issues on my setup. I send from a gmail account to a Google Groups account.. Which in turn sends out the email to 200 some odd subscribers.

Application Specific Password

Hi all,

So, for another Co I've got set-up, they aren't getting the pages sent. I believe I need to set-up the app specific password. As this was the case for another County. When I click on the instruction link, and click on the security link, I don't get any options anywhere to add a password, for a device..

Any suggestions?

Well I believe I just fixed my Verizon problem. I had to Email all the phone numbers from the text email first to secure them as a contact so they weren't considered spam.

You turned on 2 factor authentication? I dont think that the App specific passwords come up until you use 2 factor.

Somebody that has set this up more recently could correct me if I am off.

mms for sprint phones

I know some of you all have had issues with ttd and sprint mms going to XXX@pm.sprint.com. I am currently having the same issue. Most of the pages will not come to my phone anymore, but they always come through email. No issues with the latest version of ttd. I have been in contact with 2nd level tech support with sprint and was advised they are moving away from mms and going to email. The main server that housed the picture messaging service was decommissioned April 30th of this year. They are currently working on a work around for that. Most of my sprint recipents are still receiving the messages just fine, then some are very soprotic. I am also having an issue with some of my AT&T customers recvieving their pages but it says cannot download, message is corrupt. I have found out that AT&T takes the orginal message and resizes it to their standards. Has anyone found a solution to either of these to issues? I am using the latest version of ttd for 6 different departments, with 2 different computers and gmail as the email out. On a side not, everything had been working flawless until about 3 weeks ago...nothing has changes on local end.
