2 tone repeater

Does anyone have a working PI using the repeater simplex?

I tried everyone I could to get the program to run. I have not been able to. Looking to see if anyone has recently followed the instructions and was successful

Super quick question...

After searching, I can not locate an updated PI image with v69.... Does anyone have a download link or is there one? I can only find an image with v67.

Anyone have any Windows 10 tips for the following:

You can easily add TTD to startup. Just pull up file explorer, and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp and add the shortcut for TTD in that folder. You will likely need to change the view options on explorer to show hidden and system files to see that folder.

Verizon Bounces - Cloudfilter.net

Has anyone found a solution to the Verizon/Cloudfilter.net issue. I had trouble a couple months ago with them bouncing messages. I obtained a new domain name and email service and things were going great for about two months, last Friday things started bouncing again. Had lengthy discussion with email and DNS provider and ensured that SPF Record and DKIM key were present as should be but messages are still getting bounced. Had a long conversation with Verizon Wireless Support via twitter that ended with a completely non-satisfactory result...essentialy the response was we won't support it anymore. Just curious if anyone had found a workable solution to the issue that I was not aware of. I'm willing to try about anything to keep this service alive, its a great supplement to normal alerting.

ff1520,
Download the latest version of TTD there are tools and documentation to help set up sending push notifications. If you are like me and not much of a programmer, pm me and I can show you how I did it. If you prefer in this thread there are tools to also use a service like twilio to send the pages, it does cost more though. If your organization has a subscription to D4H you can get a bit better pricing for using twilio.

Record Time Issues

I just set up TTD for my volunteer department for the first time. This program is great; it's an excellent supplement to motorola minitor pagers for our members.

I am having problems with the length of recording of mp3 files. I currently have Record Time set to 30 seconds and Record Release Time set to 2 seconds, but TTD is recording for much longer than that. Each page gets recorded for about 1min 20sec; the first 20 seconds of each file is usually the dispatcher giving out dispatch information (from start to end), and the last 60 seconds is just TTD recording when there is no audio being broadcasted over our paging channel.

I would like to find a fix to the issue, as it would allow pages to be sent to our phones at least 30 seconds earlier. I have looked over the config and tones files dozens of times, and I cannot find any noticeable issues. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Using the latest version (v69). My record delay is set to 0. Let me know if I can provide additional info about my config/tones data.

It sounds like TTD is recording to the max allowed which is about 90 sec. This is usually due to an audio threshold setting being incorrect. Adjust this using the audio Squelch Level slider. When there are no radio transmissions, you want the Tone Frequency: at the top to read No Audio. When there is a transmission, it will read the frequencies analyzed.

I have a slight issue. When two different calls come in right after each other, it seems like the first one is cut off. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Logging Control?

Are there any arguments or documentation with respect to the log file that's created (Pi version)?

TTD is creating a log file, and I'd like to be able to see if I can cut this down to only save relevant data, since it's writing to a microSD card. A friend was doing a similar project (not TTD, but monitoring a radio system) with Raspberry Pi systems, and he found himself burning through cards.

It looks like the amount of data logged is impacted by the audio threshold. It contains a continuous scroll of "Freq: xxx Level: xxxx".

I've had it running for about 1/2 day and it's accumulated 2.5 MB of this data.

For what it's worth, I decompiled the code and took a quick look at it.

That particular output looks like debug code that was left in accidentally?

If you have a "continuous" scroll of Freq: and Level: you need to adjust you audio threshold in config.cfg. It should be scrolling only when radio transmissions are active.

I have heard the stories of burning through SD Cards. My TTD monitors around 55 tone sets and sends approximately 15,000 emails a month. It has been running since early 2013 on an original model B pi and standard SD card. I have not burned through a single SD card yet. Just make yourself a backup copy of your sd card and let it run. The important data is in your tones.cfg and config.cfg files. Keep them backed up. If you host your tones.cfg remotely, then there is your backup.

Your message wasn't delivered to 270XXXXX@mms.myblueworks.com because the domain mms.myblueworks.com couldn't be found. Check for typos or unnecessary spaces and try again.

One quick thought ... assuming you did a cut and paste the address you are sending to "270 XXX XXXX 7" has too many digits to be a phone number?

<270XXXXXXX7@mms.myblueworks.com>:
553: sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

Then the error message "270 XXX XX" has too few?

"Your message wasn't delivered to 270XXXXX@mms.myblueworks.com because the domain mms.myblueworks.com couldn't be found. Check for typos or unnecessary spaces and try again."

If you typed them in by hand, then sorry ... but if you cut and paste, I'd look to make sure the phone number doesn't contain punctuation of some sort.

Your problem is myblueworks.com's email servers are no longer configured to accept email for mms.myblueworks.com -- that "isn't in my rcpthosts" error means the Qmail server at that location isn't willing to accept email for that specific domain, but all of the pointers (MX) on the internet say email for that domain is meant to go there.

Either their mail server is broken, misconfigured, or they no longer want that email address (the right half of the @ sign) to be used.

So you need to figure out what address they want you to be using, or one of the subscribers of that service needs to call their technical support / repair and said any time they send an email to that address it bounces.

TTD Not Sending Emails

Hello everyone,
I am trying to get TTD set up with my department. I have all of the tone information set up, and it will detect a tone and record the audio without a problem. However, the program is failing to send out the pages. I have set up two step authentication through gmail. I have also tried multiple different email ports. The error message I receive says "Connection Unexpectedly close. An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." Can anyone help me with this or offer some tips?

Server: smtp.gmail.com
port: 587
Email Authentication: Checked
Email Security: STARTTLS

Thanks!
