You may need to install secure ftp. Try pip install pysftp

So I tried installing pysftp. TTD73 Still won't ftp the redundant tracking file. whether I use the usual ftp port or change it to my host's sftp port. Both the tone tracking and status log files have 666 permissions.

I'm pulling out what little hair I have left.

The 73 full OS image will create the tonelog and statuslog files on the ftp server but will not update them to reflect that either instance is running or that either instance has received/processed a page. I've tried with two different ftp hosts in case it was host specific but still no luck.
Accessing the remote tone file from either host has been no problem, it's just the redundant that won't update itself.

Has anyone been able to get the redundant working on version 73.
Thanks, Doug

Are you using 73g or 73h? Some changes were made in 73h to support SFTP in addition to FTP. Perhaps something got missed in testing. I can try to reproduce the issue here but want to make sure I'm using the same version that you are.

I'm running TTD on a Pi 4, feeding audio with a scanner. The version is 73f, from the image for pi's that is provided. I'm getting emails that a page has been received but when I go to listen to the mp3 file there is no audio there. I'm also streaming the audio to Broadcastify and I can hear the audio on the scanner feed but nothing is coming through on the mp3 recording. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong. I see that the program is hearing the audio coming from the scanner.
@Andy2712
did you ever resolve this? I made a radio change today and now I am experiencing the same thing. The tone sets decode just fine but there is no audio. The audio stream from the same pi/radio sounds perfect. The audio files in the TTD/audio folders are there and about 102kb but there is no audio in them .

Jim your radio change made me think of something that can cause this...if the tones are hotter than the voice in their audio levels they may be at just the right levels such that the tones trigger decoding but the voice dispatch doesn't trigger recording. Adjusting audio squelch down a bit or radio audio up a bit may help.

What's the length of the recordings? That may offer some clues.

Hello,

I am having issues with TTD not using the email body it just shows blank and shows email subject only. I am using version 73h. I did an email test from Gmail and it works on there but not TTD 73h. Wondering if this is a bug?

Thanks

The email body contents are defined in the Email Body field in the tones editor. What do you have in that field?

I also tried the admin messaging console that didn't work either. No email body just email subject only.

I have this same issue, sending an admin email, you only get the subject. Nothing typed in the body shows whether I send it to an email address or as a text.

My 73f Pi install has another issue as well, it decodes the tones, records the dispatch, converts the wav to mp3 and amr, but then it doesn't send the audio file to the listed recipients. I created another post, including log file, with my issues.

Seeing the same issue, no body text on anything, but the subject will work on an email. So, any message sent to a cell phone, whether an actual decoded alert or via admin message, the user doesn't see anything in the subject or body.

If a message is sent, decoded or admin message, to an actual email address the user will see the subject, but there's nothing in the body. This is via Raspberry Pi 73f full image on a Pi4.

I installed the 73f image on another PI 3 I had and have the same issue. I also upgraded that Pi3 install to 73g and the issue remains.

Thanks @aaknitt. Your change logs help a lot!

I just suggested to IaR support it would be helpful to list the current version available on the settings webpage for subscribers rather than "download the latest version". Save me from downloading it periodically to confirm I have the latest version. Having a changelog listed too wouldn't hurt. Maybe you could suggest that. 😉

I cannot seem to get the latest versions to run on my computer. It doesn't seem to recognize the speakers are plugged in and won't start. I can't figure it out.

TTD isn't able to find your audio device for some reason. It's possible that the audio device indexes changed during reboot...you may need to reselect the audio device on the main TTD screen and restart TTD to get it working if that's the case.

Is there a way to send the audio recording without the subject and body filled out? I leave it blank and it still sends a blank space in the message for where th text would be.
