Based on this, I won't even consider them. I think I can figure out how to enter the feature keys all on my own.

They are late to the party but Zip Scanners just started taking pre-orders for the SDS150 today (12-02-2025) at the same price of $949.99 that everyone is charging. It states on their webpage "Now taking backorders! Expected to ship in January!" and "Stock is limited & we expect to sell out."

As with previous scanner models they are charging high prices if they install any upgrades for you before shipping the scanner to you. DMR will set you back $99.99 ($60 if purchased directly from Uniden) while NXDN and ProVoice will set you back $89.99 each ($50 each if purchased directly from Uniden).

The other thing on their SDS150 webpage that caught my eye was their $59.99 price for the Remtronix 920S rubber duck antenna which sells at Scanner Master for $36.95. Caveat emptor!

I just checked (out of curiosity) ...
On September 26 2016 I ordered my BCD436HP for 328$ on Amazon.com. I purchased DMR,NXDN, and ProVoice at Uniden

Since then I had the clock issue fixed thru Uniden (that worked flawlessly)

On vacation in the US, I accidently dropped it, and the antenna-connector broke. Called Uniden, and got it sent off to them, fixed, and returned to me in time before I returned home.

So My sights are set on the SDS150 (with DMR and NXDN) for spring/summer of 2026 , so that one of my friends can deliver it to me..

I hope for dPMR, DSTAR,C4FM, Tetra.. Let's see how much extra UNIDEN will charge for those.. IF they are comming that is..

While I'm dreaming.. POCSAG logging would be nice..

I know that dPMR is in the overseas models, and that the code is in the firmware. It's just a matter of licensing in North America. As for the others, only time will tell. I'd love to see support for all of these, myself. Especially now with software code for TETRA existing.
