I know people don't like to hear it, but I'm still being told they are going full time ENC on the Police side once everything is switched over, but its going to be a while before all that happens. Fire staying clear. If I hear differently I'll advise. Don't shoot the messenger.

I have confirmation from the source that you are correct.

It appears that Newark PD is now 100% encrypted on this system. Along with a new talk group 3002

It don't make sense they're not encrypted on the analog channels but on the system they are and what is the new talk group

Here is the latest:

REMCS is still on NJICS and patched to the Newark TRS and unencrypted.

Newark Fire is primarily on NJICS and patched to Newark TRS also unencrypted. However, Dispatch and "select units" are on Newark TRS and patched the other way.

Newark PD analog is patched to Newark TRS encrypted.

While at work, I've noticed a lot of testing being done on all police channels the last two days. Yesterday, it sounded like they were working on command staff radios so something tells me a switch maybe coming sooner than later.
