Looking for NHRA racing frequencies fie track operations and safety safari.
Last post was a few years ago. Anyone with updates?

The last two times I went to Brownsburg to listen during the event this is what I heard.

I am attending the U.S. Nationals and have been searching for the Safety Safari frequency over the past two days and discovered today (by watching people talking on the radios and comparing activity on the scanner) that they appear to be using 464.2875 DMR conventional encrypted. This is my first race this season so I'm not sure if they have been running DMR encrypted all year or if it's just for this race. This has not been the case in past NHRA events I've attended.

I also found another DMR encrypted frequency that I suspect is NHRA official related but haven't been able to observe enough use to say with confidence that it is.

ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - WQVM543 - National Hot Rod Association

The license is NFM only though {11K2F3E}, but that doesn't mean they aren't using DMR.

DMR voice is usually (always ??) 7K60FXE

This is definitely them though, 467.0500 is the other frequency I'm getting DMR encryption on.

It's disappointing that they've gone encrypted, being able to listen to the track communications was always part of the experience.

Yes, DMR voice is usually 7K60FXE, with data being 7K60FXD. There was also a period of time when 7K60FXW was issued, which was kind of a catch-all for combo voice & data. It's use is now frowned upon for new licenses.

Id imagine not ever thing is enc. Possibly one and a 2nd uhf spare. For teams to listen to. Sim to what indy and nascar does.Dont quote me I still think RE is still working on there radios. Great job finding some new channels which Re never puts on list!

I didn't hear any encryption on any of the team frequencies it was just the NHRA frequencies. I found a lot of other frequencies that were being used by concessions and security and the such.

It's interesting that they appear to be running an emission that the frequencies are not licensed for.
