Ive got a question regarding the NHSP and frequencies they use. I live in the area Troop A serves, so I listen to them. Sometimes I'll hear the troopers say things like "switching to Troop B Boston" which is pretty obvious that they're changing over to the dispatch center of a different troop.

Anyway, to the point Sometimes I hear them say something along the lines of "123, I'll be switching over to Headquarters". I never really thought anything of this until tonight, when they started having repeater problems and the dispatcher said "All units switch over to headquarters I'm having trouble copying you." I switched my scanner over to the bank that has all of the SP frequencies in it for when I traveling around the state, and apparently I don't have this frequency, nor is there anything listed as "headquarters" on the department of safety database. Does anyone have any idea what this frequency is?

Thanks, somehow troop D was locked out on my scanner and I would have never thought to look for that as being the channel I needed. They were having some very strange radio problems last night, though.

I'm pretty sure they have already done it, but they were rumored to switch all dipatch operations to the State Police HQ in Concord. I heard a unit say switching to HQ yesterday and the dispatcher replied, Troop B, and also headquarters copies that.

I'm not sure on that front. I know they're still using all the channels for the different troops but obviously they could be doing that from Concord.

Lots of changes going down, from the way it seems. My county changed the way they operate too but I haven't quite figured out the rhyme or reason for that.

Right, they were keeping all of the patrol operations the same, just dispatching all troops from HQ in Concord

HQ is doing most of the dispatching for the southern half of the state. Troop-F is still open 24/7 and Troop-E is running at what appears to be 50%. It appears that when Troop-E is off the air, Troop-F takes over for them on the Troop-E channel.

It would make sense for Troop E to be out of HQ as they still provide disp services for several communities in the area.

Are you sure about Troop F still being dispatched from Twin Mountain?
I worked for many years every summer in the North Conway/Whitefield area and listened to Troop F almost exclusively and got used to the voices.

I had one favorite female dispatcher who worked the night shift who had the sexiest voice I ever heard (it was almost a late night mellow radio radio broadcaster's voice) and I have not heard her on days or nights for years. (Every time I drive through the area I listen, but gave up hope of hearing her again).
I also got used to hearing the male dispatchers and have not heard any familiar voices there either.

The NHSP website listed the dispatchers and I still remember that the two females were Sheila and Maryann. I never figured out which was which, although the other one sounded like the voice on directory assistance.

Sorry to hijack the thread.
