Hi,

I'm right next to the tower i Montclair and I don't hear all the talkgroups I have in my Pro-106 on the 235XLT. I have all channels programmed for North Simulcast, Bedminster and Warren. I hear data on 860.9625 while in Montclair. I believe the problem is REBANDING?

Tnx,

Mike

Rebanding has nothing to do with it, as the NJSP's frequencies were not adversely affected by the rebanding process. All of the frequencies on that system are part of the original Motorola bandplan, and thus even scanners that are non-reband capable will have no issues with the system.

860.9625 is the primary control channel for the North Simulcast, not a data channel. Make sure you have the system programmed properly as a Type II trunked system.

I reprogrammed the scanner with the RED control channels for North and Central Simulcast, Warren and Bedminster along with their BLACK frequencies and it seems to be working fine now. Put in a bunch of talkgroups to scan. Like to see how it compares to the 106 while mobile. Nice analog sound.

Tnx,

Mike

How's the 325P2 perform on NJSP, Somerset Co, Middlexsex-new ,etc? I'm considering it as an upgrade from the Pro-106. I've seen it as low as $251 on Amazon.

You will have less than stellar results on Somerset & Middlesex with that unit.

The LSM distortion is substantial on those systems.
