anyone have the proper BC780xlt settings for NJSP Troop B? I can't seem to get it to start tracking on the analog ID's. Just stops on Control Channel and won't start Trunk Scanning.

need some 780 help...

ref to james bond 007 post, I can't seem to get my 780 to trunk on Tr A, ...CC only, or full system freq all entered; think I tried almost everything, but maybe I'm overlooking something. Trunked fine before rebanding, but maybe thats the issue now(?). If so, how did you get around that, 007?. Not a new guy at this, thought I could figure it out myself. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. (maybe this can justify my "needing" a new rig, to the XYL!).

I didn't think you could use the 780 for rebanded frequencies?

Did NJSP in south jersey reband? They haven't up north.

Nothing seems to have changed yet. I'm receiving them fine, with a 780 also.

Make sure you programmed the systems channels as trunking channels. If you scroll thru the channels manually you should see a letter icon "M" just above the first digit in the frequency display. This would indicate that its programmed correct. If it's not there go to each channel manually and hold the trunk button for 2 seconds and you hear a beep and the "M" lights up. I over looked this after not programming one of these for a long period of time. Make sure it's set as Type2 800 too.....

Thanks to all, tried pretty much everything, then went to 'plan 3' format, and trnked like a charm... won't trunk in CC only format, but may be due to my location now. Anyway, my thanks to replies & help, 9M28

Only the BC15 you listed will have rebanding support. The BC780XLT and the BC785D will not.

Taken from the Wiki:
This is a partial list of scanners that are expected to stop working on rebanded Motorola analog (3600 bps control channel) systems:

Uniden Scanners

BC235XLT
BC245XLT
BC250D
BC780XLT
BC785D
BC895XLT

Will the entire NJSP system be rebanded some day? Most of their frequencies are below 860MHz, just a few at 866MHz. Will it be shifted down to the lower 850's or down to 700? Any got any info on this. Just wondering how much time my 780's have left monitoring this system. They work quite well on this system set at as a base.
