Not sure this is the proper section therefore feel free to move my post.
I’m currently evaluating my setup and for doing so I wish to validate my noise floor. As per my understanding the technical way would be to generate a signal of know DB and measure the difference. Since my setup does not live in a vacuum, I suppose I need to emit a signal and reduce the DB until I lose it in the noise?
I can certainly take more information on this.
