A few updates on Baptist AirCare & NC AirLife:

Baptist AirCare 2 base has been moved from Elkin Airport to Wilkes County Airport to provide better coverage to the western parts of their territory. I think this move happened this past Monday.

NC AirLife 2 in Lumberton supposedly will become a UNC AirCare Helo 2020 or 2021. AirLife 2 is already being dispatched by UNC AirCare on VIPER UNC AirCare Ground Disp (TG#52342). I'm guessing this is a patch or multi-select coming across my scanner?

Interesting to see what Wake Forest Baptist is using their money for instead of routine patient care.

Hello N1GAW, have an EastCare update for you. You should be seeing N641EC pretty soon, its a rebuilt EC 135 which will be a back up. N640EC, our current back up is going to Pa. for extensive rehab but will eventually return as a second back up. Will keep you posted. Joe N2UBI

Also N135EC has been moved to the new Bertie Base in Winsdor at the hospital. It used to be at RWI. N854EC that used to be at OCW is now at RWI. Trying it as a cost saving measure because EastCare 1 (previous 145) is the most active, so switched it with a more cost effective 135.

Spotted your N641EC today (12/5/2019) heading to Norfolk General Hospital. It did not look familiar on my VRS, so I had to do a little research to figure out who's it was!

As far as I know GHS MedTrans and Regional One in Upstate SC still occasionally fly to Transylvania, Henderson, Rutherford, and Polk Counties depending on the availability of MAMA-1 or MAMA-2.

Haven't seen their birds yet, but I'll watch for them. Thanks

Made a few updates for aircraft no longer in the area. Also added a link at the bottom of the page to allow you to track all med AC in the wiki at once.

As always, if you know of any other updates please post them here or DM me and I'll update the wiki.

Hey just looked throught it and have a few updates. N980ME is'nt a backup for dare anymore. It became N910NH which is NHRM Airlink 1. Not sure what dare uses as a backup now. Duke's N145NC is back in NC and JNX. Medcenter air N162AE is now med 4 based at stanley county airport. UNC's new fixed wing is N111KJ.

I've discovered that when you open the Tracking link in the Wiki it sometimes will show you the last known position of all aircraft on the list. To change this to see the aircraft currently inflight just click the T button near the top right and it will remove the left side panel and show you the current inflight.

Does anyone know the tail # for Air Life 2? I hear them on the radio often but do not see them flying.

Numerous changes made in the Wiki today from information put together over the past week, including some new helos that have been seen in NC and the link to ADS-B tracking of all the helos on the list. I know I'm still missing some, but by the very nature a Wiki entry is a work in progress, so I'll keep watching.

Appreciate all the input and help I've gotten on this project, but still looking for a tail number of Air LIfe 2 helicopter. Thanks

Thank you for this tip! i have a bookmark set up for all Maryland State Police 'TROOPER' helicopters, and having the previous flight tracks made it confusing. Never thought to use the 'Track' button to clean up to just current. I am doing the same for USCG aircraft and will use the same technique.
