VSP working what appears to be a serious crash westbound I-66 at VA-234 (PW Pkwy). All lanes closed Westbound at 234 BUS and only the right lane gets by Eastbound.

Three vehicle MVA with all vehicles on fire. One vehicle fully involved in fire with driver trapped inside, DOA. 12 year old did get out of the vehicle and was transported with BLS injuries. Persons from other two vehicles were ok.
I'm on duty at the fire station and was listening to it as our Tower was heading for the call.
Sad start to the weekend.

1955 hrs: I hadnt heard anything like this since 9/11. At least on jet hauling ass (Super sonic) up the Potomac river. Saw it hang a left and head west towards Manassas. There was a lot of cloud cover but it was below the canopy.
Anyone else here or see this???

I'm not sure what it was. Currently I can hear the Coast Guard helos BLACKJACK-1 and-2. BOXER-32 is heading into Andrews. DCA traffic is currently landing on runway 19.
What type of jet? At 2025 I heard an A-10 heading back to Martin State.

Fairfax County Fire on the scene of 5111 Leesburg Pike for an investigation. Several people reportedly overcome by fumes. Multiple patients transported to FFX and Alexandria Hospitals. Operations on 4C, 4F and 9A. Channels 4 and 7 on the scene also....

Deputies chasing a subject on foot in the area of Hamilton Station Rd. Subject has been tazed once. Not sure what the person did. Asking for a K9 from Leesburg.
They had him and I think he got away. VSP are there as well.
8:47AM - in custody and called for EMS. I think he got tazed again.

N750RA is declaring an inflight emergency for a left main gear that is not indicating down and locked. They've already visually confirmed it being down, I even saw it. Emergency crews are standing by just in case. On final for IAD.

Early stages of an incident in the Cascades area of Loudoun. The SERT and hostage negotiators are there. Woodland Rd at Atlantic Blvd is blocked and I think Woodland at Cascades Parkway too, so somewhere in that area.

A man is in custody after barricading himself in a self-storage unit in Sterling, VA for nearly six hours on Saturday.
Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Budget Self Storage in the 21600 block of Cascades Parkway shortly after 3 PM for a check the welfare call. Employees with the storage company reported that a man had been living in a self storage unit. The man was reportedly acting erratically and they were concerned for his well-being.
As deputies arrived on the scene the man barricaded himself in his self-storage unit. As a precaution members of the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) and the Sheriff’s Office Negotiations Unit were called to the scene.
After negotiating with the man for several hours’ members of the Sheriff’s Office S.E.R.T. team made entry into the storage unit around 9 PM and took the man into custody without incident. He has been taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
No charges are pending at this time.

On going fire incident since about 0515 in Clarke County. Believe it is in the Enders District (Berryville). Mt. Weather Eng. 21 on scene and also mutual aid move ups from Frederick County. Ops on 155.6925.

It was indeed in Berryville. Frederick Co. VA was toned first then Loudoun. We saw 2 Loudoun engines heading west on RT7 and Frederick radioed that they only had a driver...they were canceled.
Before they called for Loudoun and Frederick, I heard a firefighter on-scene yelling that he kept losing water (pressure?). I guess they were having trouble with an engine. He sounded very upset.

6:58AM - Deputy reporting that its property damage only with two county vehicles. One school bus.
When it was dispatched, I thought it might have been more serious.
7:10AM - Leesburg PD officer reporting one patient complaining of minor injuries
EMS/Fire dispatched for an MVA with a school bus off Battlefield Parkway and Miller Drive.
6:58AM - Deputy reporting that its property damage only with two county vehicles. One school bus.
