I was woken up early this morning to this Leesburg Today - The Journal of Loudoun County - Ashburn Resident Killed In Early Morning Crash

The driver was DOA. The extrication of the passenger took at least half an hour. No doubt about speed being a factor when a car gets mangled that much.

I went by there yesterday afternoon after I got the Loudoun Alert about this. By looking at the skid marks, anyone can tell speed was the cause (if not other things influencing judgment). You can see that the skid marks started about of the middle of the 2 lanes he was on, evidence across the median where the grass and dirt were dug into, skid marks across both oncoming lanes, and the tree had some damage.

Loudoun has requested a helo from VSP to help search for an attempted rape suspect out in the Middleburg area. VSP advises it would be at least 20-30 minutes. Fauquier Co is assisting with a K9. Loudoun is patching to the helo through PMARS.

2112- VSP helo N30VA has finally lifted off from Manassas. 124.65

Loudoun and Frederick are out at 13232 James Monroe Hwy (Getty Mart), attic fire, heavy smoke from the eaves, believe they have it knocked now. They're asking now for an FM and the health dept.

Earlier this evening during the 8pm hour, Loudoun and Fairfax worked a 2 alarm fire at 1050 Tottenham Ct, also started in the attic with a family displaced.

There is some sort of major incident going on in the Lansdowne area of Loudoun. Riverside Parkway and Kingsport Drive. Aircare-3 just flew out with a female patient suffering also sorts of trauma and classified as a code blue. Kind of sounded like a rape may have occurred. She was found in the woods. While passing her condition they mentioned it being related to a fatality of some sort. CSI,CID and a bunch of high-ranking LCSO are on scene or on the way. A bloodhound was requested.

0829- They found a sock around the area of the "remains".

Anybody have Leesburg PD in the rotation right now? I haven't really been paying attention, but I just heard dispatch asking one of the units if he can answer some questions for the media about a car he is currently out on. I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Car-6 is going to deal with the media.

I'm guessing it could be this:

On March 26, 2009 at approximately 2:54PM, Leesburg Police Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 100 block of Adams Drive, NE for an unknown situation. Upon arrival officers located a 44 year-old male lying on the living room floor. Members of the Department's Criminal Investigations Section are on scene and have began an investigation. The department is currently treating this incident as a suspicious death.

I was on the way home at the time and do remember an EMS call about someone with an "eviscerated stomach".

2217- That's got to be it. More units checking out at 108 Adams Dr and someone asking to confirm if a 7## (CIS) unit is on scene. A command center is set up.

Whats the Location of this Fire? I was told its in Jefferson Co.

Not 100% sure. Did hear "Locust Command" and thought that it was in Lovettesville. I think that are mopping up now. From listening, the structure (house) is not in good shape.

As I was typing this, I heard Loudoun clear and say they were going back to Loudoun Co., so you are correct. Sorry for posting this in the VA forum. I was listening the best I could while doing some repairs in a bathroom. :)

If this is the same incident, I heard a call go out for Jefferson County Fire for a structure fire on Turnberry St in the next development over from Tuscalilla Hills on the way home this evening. We were on the way home and so my wife was instructed to go to the area. Upon arrival and after hoofing it up to the scene, I discovered that the fire was apparently located in the basement area. As of about an hour ago, units were on the scene and it was believed that the fire had spread into the walls to the first and/or second floors. Neersville Co 16 was dispatched on the second round of dispatch for assistance. They may have been transferring to a Jefferson Station and may have received the call and gotten dispatched prior to going off the air in Jefferson. I was not monitoring Loudoun at the time. (I am only conjecturing about that.) This may explain their radio traffic. The cross-patched link between Co 16 and Jefferson was a bit distorted at first, but was cleared up later.

Leesburg - Crime Scene

I don't listen to Leesburg PD often; mostly LCSO. This morning I was hearing traffic of LCSO assisting with Leesburg PD and sounded like they were blocking traffic off of Market Street; didn't catch the exact location.

Caught a little bit after I started listening to Leesburg PD about Loudoun Guns.
