Loudoun - Search Warrant ?

Yesterday, May 8th 2009 starting about 2-3PM, I heard a lot of traffic on the Loudoun TRS' Detective TG and East Dispatch. The dispatcher advised all units that there was going to be a "Signal 600" for the next few hours. There was one unit that was en route to get the paperwork. Fire and EMS were dispatched to respond to the Sterling area (I think close to Church Rd.) and meet with the Sheriff's office for further instructions. After they were staging, a FM unit marked up as well. About 5PM I heard EMS/FD clear the scene and state they were going to check out the Bomb Tech.

Anyone know what happened? I didn't want to post anything while it was on-going.

Loudoun - Hazmat Situation

Not sure where...

Hazmat situation. Sounds like someone spilled something on themsleves and now the room/area is contaminated.

Listening more, sounds like it initially happened in a field somewhere and the person was taken to the ER now the ER is contaminated.

I'm pretty sure the ER was Landsdown.

Bank Robbery - Fairfax

Just heard a BOLO from Loudoun for their units about a bank robbery of a Wachovia bank. Black male, rubber president mask (unknown which president - need to brush up on their US History) displayed a silver handgun.

There is a major fire in downtown Leesburg somewhere in the area of Catoctin, Harrison and South Streets. The event must've started around 7:30 or earlier. I didn't get tuned in until 7:45. Most of the LPDs are tied up with traffic and crowd control. I'm not sure what's on fire.

The smoke was easily visible as I came down the mountain on Rt7 in Bluemont. There is a news helo hovering over the area, so watch for footage at 11pm.

The only thing on Alert Loudoun is:
Leesburg Police are working an incident along with the Loudoun Co Fire and Rescue in the area of the 100 block of Catoctin Cir. SE. At this time the road is closed on Catoctin Cir. SE from South St. SE to Harrison St. SE. Expect delays, and please use alternate routes of travel.

2117- Fox news is on the scene now.

Pretty sure it is the Carwash. From where I was standing it looked to be on the other side of the Chrysler dealership...

I'm receiving Stafford Co FD dispatch faintly right now and heard something about baseball-size hail. I see on radar that the weather is heavy in that area.

RE that shooting. Sounded like a probable suicide. Person in a car, one shot to the head. I think I remember hearing that the gun was in the person's lap.

Yeah. I was still asleep when I heard it, and based on the fact that there were bike riders and joggers waving at the ambulance crew, whom were waiting for the PD to get there and clear the area for entry, I figured the same thing.
