I just got the SDS100 and have used the Sentinel software to create favorites and continue to have issues with hearing traffic. I get sporadic calls from towns and counties all around me but for some reason I am not picking up any traffic for my local town and county even though I can see it scanning the frequencies for my local Fire/EMS and Police. I have been hunting around YouTube and this is a bit overwhelming, I have never had a scanner before. Thoughts? Thanks

Can you provide a link to the RRDB page for the system you are trying to monitor? Or, alternatively, what city, county, state?

Did you set the Service Types to ON for the types of systems you want to listen too?
If your local agencies are encrypted, nothing will be heard. What channels are you hearing? FD? LE? Aircraft? Schools?

Yes, please post the RR database page(s) for agencies you're unable to pick up after you've tried the suggestions made by others. Also did you program by hand or by Sentinel? Welcome to the RR forums. Specific info goes a long way when asking for help
New Kent County sheriff is encrypted along with Charles City sheriff. So you will not hear them.
Any thing listed under mode with TE is encrypted.

I selected EMS, Fire and law for now
Thank you, I used Sentinel SW and also tried the zip code method and location discovery method.
I also upgraded antenna to Remtronix 920S
New Kent fire dispatch (512 NKFR 5A Disp) is also encrypted.along with 502 NKFR 5C Tac 11 and

Makes sense since they are close to me and I here when they roll out but never hear radio traffic, thank you!
