Not receiving feed down notifications

So, a few times - one, the other, or both of my feeds have gone down. I have an email address that converts to SMS on my phone, as well as a valid email address, listed under the feeds.

When my feeds first were streaming I would get notification if they went down, immediately. At least twice now, however, my first notification was a 'we last saw your feed 23 hours ago'. For those of us using dedicated computers that don't get regularly checked, that's a lot of unnecessary downtime.

Am I doing something wrong? Some notification setting incorrect? I looked and don't see any similar threads, so am I the only one?

The script that sends out the notifications was rewritten and went live yesterday.

From this point on you should receive notifications after your feed has been down for 15 minutes, another after it's been down for 6 hours, another after it's been down for 24 hours, another after it's been down for 7 days, etc.
