I'm using the win500 software to program my PSR-500. When I uploaded the data to the scanner it says nothing enabled. Where do you enable on the software? I've looked all over can't find enable button.
Thanks for any help.

For the software:

General Settings Tab

Scan Lists Box (top left)

Check or uncheck the "Scan" boxes corresponding to the scan lists you want enabled/disabled, and write to the scanner.

Much easier to just push the number key on the scanner to enable or disable scan lists.

I have the lists I want checked,I do upload to scanner,it writes, reboots, then says nothing enabled. Not sure what I"m doing wrong.

Did you try pushing the numbered keys on the front of the scanner that correspond to your scan lists?

Assuming you've assigned frequencies to scan list(s) in the file you uploaded, you've sent it to the scanner, and it reboots, but until you tell the scanner what scan lists you want to listen to, it'll sit there and say nothing selected. It's really as simple as pressing 1 to tell it to listen to scanlist 1.
Pressing each scanlist number will toggle it on/off.

Right, I;ve used win-500 when I first got this scanner 5 years ago.I know how to use the scanner, but for some reason when I upload the new scan lists I get the nothing enabled on my scanner. I get the same thing on all of the lists I've uploaded. All of them are trunked systems.

From the RR Wiki:

"Nothing Enabled" error:
  • No scanlists are enabled. Turn on one or more scanlists.
  • Scanlists are enabled but empty. Create and/or associate objects with scanlists.
  • Scanlist is enabled but all objects in scanlist are locked out. Unlock some objects.

Note - For a TSYS it's possible to lock out a wildcard talkgroup AND the TSYS itself, which will cause "Nothing Enabled". Unlock both.
