Now it has started!!!

I took my tech license test tonight. I PASSED with a score of 98%. I missed one question (Darn the bad luck!!). I have about 4 hours of study time into my General license and hope to take it soon. Now it has started. Radio's, antennas........Have to start looking a little harder for all that stuff. At least I have 10 meters on my President Washington I can use until I can find a 50MHz rig! I have been looking at the Yaesu FT-710 and a couple of other ones.

I do not own the FT710 but we've used one at field day the last two years for our club SSB station. I enjoyed operating it immensely and seemed to have GREAT receive and selectivity.

I have the 710 and love it. I use it for portable operations. Mainly Parks On the Air.

Since you are in learning mode study for the General test. You will have many more HF privileges.
