Fort Meade Fire on location possible duct fire on the roof of NSA building...initially requested 1 truck company from the AA County to be dispatched.... Fort Meade Fire reporting the believed they had it under control on the roof and 3rd floor reporting all clear but 2nd floor crews reporting heavy smoke conditions and starting evacuation.... Deputy Chief 45 requesting 2 additional engines from the county... 2nd floor crews told by command to find a location for ventilation....
1944 update: crews still working DC-45 now requesting two additional engines from the county....
Units involved.... Fort Meade Fire Department (possibly 3 engines, a PM unit, and chief) Tower 28, E-283, E-291, E-272, E281, and BC-1...
2015: update ... believed to be under control - checking for extension of fire.. Brush 27 is enroute with two more chain saws
