Just was wondering how the rest of the state was using the talk groups. Troop E (Scottsbluff) seems to have dispatch on scan, what I don't understand is when Sidney (3119) calls dispatch (3116) dispatch will answer on 3033, 3116 or 3022 so cars are also on receive scan. Most of the time when the Rushville area calls in they use 3116, thought they would use 3033. Anyhow not much constancy out here.

The dispatchers probably have the talk groups group together on their consoles. This is not a patch but a simulcast. When the dispatcher keys up with multi select tab it will patch the talk groups together while the dispatch is talking. If you are using a uniden scanner the dispatcher may show up on a different talk group cause they don't follow patches properly.
This just like when OPD does a citywide broadcast or tones a call.
Hopefully this makes since.
