NW Central programming help 396T & 15X

using Freescan I can't get NWCD to work. As a SYS type I chose mot type II/P25 & site type I chose mot custom/reband. On the 15X it loaded fine and when you hit the hold key the site id is displayed but when scanning I get nothing. On the 396T it kept telling me "failed adding group fire. scanner may be out of memory" the other error messages I get are: setting agc,global p25 wait time & scanner max channel or max TGID limit reached. I know i'm not exceeding channel or tgid limits, i enterd 19 for NWCD and 4 for another SYS . Icleared the memory of the 396T and tried reloading NWCD alone and STILL got all of the above error messages. The firmware was just updated. any help is appreciated.

I solved the 396T problem - just needed a firmware update. the Uniden firmware update site is garbage. The directions are very confusing and after about three hours I was ready to through my coputer through the wall!

Good job with the 396.

The BCT15X will not work with most of the NWCD talkgroups (on the AH-BG-MP-PL-PH system anyway), as they are digital, the 15 isn't. There are a few analog talkgroups on that system that will work on the 15 used by some of the Local Government services. The Streamwood-Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg systems are still analog and will work fine with the 15.
