I was just in Enterprise yesterday and heard just fine. All I did to program was program it as NXDN trunked then from the list of frequencies above plug them in the order listed followed by the LCN #s and also be sure to set the scanner for TGID search. It defaults to TGID scan. Btw, I heard nothing from the conventional Sheriff Dispatch frequency, encrypted or clear.
Hey Joe when coming through Enterprise last week, how did you program your scanner to NXDN trunked ? I'm still trying to figure this out.

When I try and download to scanner all I get is an excell spread sheet with database info on it.

Excel spreadsheet? That sounds like your clicking in "Downloads and Reports"

If your using a 436 hp scanner you should be using the software from Uniden called Sentinel. It can be found here BCDx36HPSentinel < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

There are some Uniden videos that show some how to stuff related to the scanner here Uniden BCD436HP Scanner

There is an easier to read manual for the 436 here Easier to Read BCD436/536HP Digital Scanner Manual

Yes, when you first go in to program it under new system select NXDN trunked. Follow those steps I sent you via PM if you can. Check your PM for another message.

I'm a little new to scanners so here I go. I just received my uniden bearcat 436 hp scanner. They preprogrammed for my county and I also purchased the NXDN upgrade because my city and sheriff's dispatch operate on NXDN. I don't get anything from the city of Enterprise Alabama or coffee county sheriff's. I'm several miles from both towers. Bearcat Warehouse said they've done all they could do. I believe this is a program or possibly software issue. I need help. I've had scanner for 6 days.
I had the same problem. I had to program the nxdn frequencies manually as a conventional system in my bcd996p2. I am now able to receive enterprise fire an pd. Hope this helps.

Is your bcd 996p2 similar to my 436hp, I get everything but Enterprise on my scanner. And NXDN is my upgrade which Enterprise operates on. After talking to member about issue, we loaded some frequencies, but still No Enterprise transmission. The scanner will pause, and Enterprise appears with like 3-4 bars and nxd 9 at bottom of display but no sound. Crazy

I posted above Enterprise Police are using the street department frequency , look in the DB under Enterprise you will see Enterprise - streets that is the police . I do not hear them often but that is were my 436 picks them up at.

If you have the frequency 154.3700 try locking it out. My scanner would stop on that frequency and handle it like someone had activated push to talk so I locked it out and was receiving the other frequencies just fine. I don't know anything about the 436hp but maybe this will help.

Joe I can see Enterprise pause as it scans, see 3-4 bars and nxd 9 at bottom of display but NO sound, transmission. Looks like scanner is picking up enterprise but no sound.

Your not hearing anything because they’re not speaking, maybe. What you’re seeing is the control channel locking on to the tower and it’s searching for active talk groups (should say ID Searching). You can put the frequencies in conventionally as the other guy is suggesting but you may not know who it is. One minute it could be police, the next fire on the same frequency. Is anything preventing you from meeting next Tuesday sometime so I can actually see what you got and may be able to simplify some things? I can’t do it like this. I would make a horrible help desk person, lol.

A very possible scenario is because they did the cheap and lazy "zip code" method (didnt actually program anything for you, just punched in a zip code), and thus, you cannot use ID Search, so if the system is using different talk groups than what's listed, you won't hear a thing.

Try this:
Find the system you are trying to listen to and hold on it by pressing "System" --> press "Chan" (bottom right white button) --> Press "E/Yes" --> Add to Favorites List? -> YES -> It will ask you to name it, name it or just press A, whatever
--> Now, go to "Set scan selection" --> turn OFF the full database, turn ON the favorites list you just made (E/Yes to toggle on/off) --> press "System" --> Once it starts scanning, press "FUNC + YES" to enable ID Search.

Now, you wont have any of the TG IDs/names besides the one you specifically added, but it is a quick and easy way to get a system into a favorites list to get ID Search running.
Personally, I recommend always using ID search, as the DB will never have ALL the TGs, and new ones will pop up, often the most interesting of times, and without ID search, you wont hear them.

If this doesnt work, its possible the LCNs are wrong, in which case you can use the LCN finder - but you will still need to create that favorites list. The best thing about these scanners is the favorites list, they give you control over what you scan. I have 60+ favorites lists, for all different industries, hobbies, etc - doing this enables you to turn on the ones you want to hear, and off the ones you dont, whenever you want, and lets you use ID search instead of ID scan. Make one for whatever you listen to, the more specific, the more control you have (hospitals, airports, public safety, business, federal, statewide, etc)
