I am trying to program my BCD325P2 for Noble County Sheriff/Perry PD who are using NXDN format. Can someone please help me with step to step directions on how to do this? I have premium membership for RadioReference and still on a 19 day trial with ProScan.
I have already updated my scanner using BC_VUP_V3_03_00.
I have been reading all the articles about NXDN but nothing has helped. I have programmed scanners before but just learning about NXDN's here. Thank you in advance.

Here is the callsign for the frequency.

You have 3 options...

1) Use the Pro scan database import feature. I personally have never done this, so can't be of detail.

2) Program as one-freq NXDN. Create a system and specify one-freq NXDN. Create a site, and add a frequency. Frequency is 155.085. Set the RAN to 1. Make sure to turn on talkgroup ID Search. You can create a group later and add the talkgroup (unidentified in the DB).

3) Program conventional NXDN. Create a system and specify conventional. Create a group and a channel in the group. Name as you would like. Frequency is 155.085. Set the Audio type to digital, and set the RAN to 1.

Thank you for responding. So basically program the scanner for other frequencies then add this manually as a one-freq NXDN? Also, do I still have to purchase the NXDN key for this scanner from Uniden?

Answer to the 2nd question; yes you must purchase the NXDN option from Uniden to listen to this. There are others like Scanner Master who, I believe, resell the option but it's cheaper if you do it directly

In case you haven’t found it, the Noble County Sheriff / Perry PD is listed in the RR database here: Noble County, Oklahoma (OK) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
This is the information you would import into Proscan.

Do I have to do any settings once I import it into PRoScan before I upload it to scanner?

Here is a sample ProScan file for setting up the Noble Co Sheriff frequency. It is entered as a conventional system and frequency. Save the attached file to your computer and open with ProScan.

Thank you. What does this attachment do when I open it? DOes it just get me to the Noble County frequencies?

So I purchased the NXDN upgrade on Uniden. I made the mistake with the serial number but got the ESN right. Will it make a difference if the serial number is incorrect? Im such a dufus for doing that. I have 2 scanners I am trying to program and entered the 2nd scanner's serial number but used the 1st scanner's ESN.

Never mind on the serial number. The upgrade just took awhile even though i had the key. Finally upgraded. Now I can program this one. Wish me luck.

I cannot find the talkgroup ID Search on this scanner. I have created a one-freq NXDN. Created a site and added the frequency and set the RAN to 1. But cant find the talkgroup ID search to make sure it is on. Anyone know where i can find this?

The ID Search option is at the system level. Click the system node in the tree then you should see it on the right side like in this image.

There are no talkgroups involved. Talkgroups are used only on trunked systems. The sheriff is using a conventional frequency. The file I created only has the sheriff's frequency so you can see how it should be programmed. If you have the NXDN upgrade installed, upload the file to your scanner and you should receive the sheriff. It should not be programmed as one freq trunk (OFT). It is a conventional frequency.
