Is there a pattern for the NAC tones or are they somewhat random?

Saw some plainclothes officers today in Brooklyn gearing up on Broadway in the 81pct using Vertex VX-P824 in digital mode. Heard them refer to another unit by name so I'm assuming it was on a tac channel. I guess they reprogrammed the digital 824 radios for the time being.

Last night, I was listening to the NYPD 73/75 and this morning after about 30 minutes of scanning, I hear nothing. That’s unheard of for that area because there is always something going on. Does anyone know if they went the encrypted route?

This thread is to track the P25 precinct conversion process and temporary use of the PB channels. Please keep comments to factual observations of related frequency and NAC information, not speculation which serves no purpose.

Anyway, back to the actual rollout of the P25 AES channels.

An SI precinct cut over last week, anyone have details?

Has there been any recent activity on PBSI 1 or 2? More specifically, are any of those four precincts no longer being heard on the analog frequencies?

I'm picking up a NAC of 7A8 on PBSI1 484.0875 (encrypted) rather than NAC 495 which is already in the database. Not sure if I am hearing somewhere else that is not in the database or if the NAC did indeed change.

Also it seems that both the 120/121 and the 122/123 are still operating on their analog frequencies. I am still picking up activity on both PBSI1 and PBSI2 though.
