NYPD Trunk?

NYPD SOD TG 309 Now using P25, (clear) on this system (rebroadcast of 470.8375 analog)

TG 309 has been listed since July. And of course it's "using P25"; it's a P25 system, what other modulation would it be using?

I assume you mean Manhattan South, i.e. Division 1 as opposed to Manhattan North which is Division 2.

TG 309 has been silent on this system until this morning. I was just noting the current usage and the fact that it is still a rebroadcast of analog on 470.8375 ,,,,,,, I am going to assume TG 401 is Transit Manhattan South, I could only ID as manhattan at the time

All the TG’s will be silent until someone affiliates with a TG.

Most of the TGs have been silent on this system for a few weeks. A TG only becomes "active" when a Native Subscriber (Radio Tech) Selects (affiliates) to the talkgroup. That has been discussed many times in this thread. There is also no evidence of the actual use of this system other than testing at the moment.

Did you compare the audio on TG 401 to the UHF Counterpart?

I wanted to try, but the transmissions only lasted for a few minutes so I had no chance to do that.

Also hearing 10/13 pcts (TG 103) and 6/9 pcts (TG 102)during the day on that P25 NYPD repeater, as well

Very interesting. Yes, every precinct in the Bronx is E. So they were in the clear for say an hour before the transmissions ended?

I was hearing it for many hours......since around 4 pm...... I think the situation on here is rather interesting.....

I ran the system in DSD+ over the weekend because I was bored. Occasionally, TGs 103 and 102 showed up (Clear); nothing else. But that's the usual with this system. I also think it's a coincidence that the TG stopped transmitting when a post was made here, as the system is very random.
