Temporarily shut down the feed or there won't be anything to feed other than static in the future!

I run the Philly feed and if I found out that it was being used like that I would immediately stop until things settle down.

The feed is directly supplying tactical information to the OWS group who are using it against the NYPD. If I ran the world, it would be off.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd trade the loss of feeds for no encryption on regular PD (and FD) dispatch channels. Encryption is entirely appropriate for other comms.

That's the main guy that's doing it. He posts the link every few minutes. Hopefully it'll be down soon, or at least the CW1-3 freqs taken off.

Agreed. I was wondering why my scanner radio app alerted me in the middle of the night that this feed had 1000+ listeners. It makes sense if they're spamming the link every few minutes.

Even without OWS, those frequencies should not be streamed. The warrant checks alone are civilians personal info. People's (most of whom have no warrants) names and birthdays should not be made available worldwide.
