Hopefully one of you Ocean County guys can help me with a problem I am having on a Uniden HP-1 that I just purchased at a decent price.
First problem has to do with Digital, I am unable to received Toms River or Lakewood PD. The channel locks in but audio comes across garbled.
Able to receive other digital such as Manchester PD, Berkeley PD and Little Egg PD. (scratching my head) ???
Second problem has to do with MONOC ambulances. I have 3 favorite lists that I scan and Monoc is on one of the lists. If I lock in on the Monoc channel manually, for instance 461.800 210.7 I get the communications no problem. If I have the scanner in scan mode, it never stops on Monoc EVER !
I can hold my BCT 346xtc right next to the HP-1 and hear Monoc loud and clear on the handheld but Nada on the HP-1. I am stumped.
Here are the HP-1 settings.
Range= 20 mile
Attenuator=Off
Squelch= In the middle
Any ideas anyone ?
