Would it be weird to go up to a VA cop and ask him to key up his radio so i could find the frequency he is using?

It would be a lot of things. Weird is probably one of them. :lol: Setting in a good location and using some kind of close call function would be a little better.

Not at all, people do this to cops all the time. That would be a wonderful community-based thing to do.Cops love community based policing particularly those who work for 'specialized' federal law enforcement agencies.

You could probably capture it on CC when he was running your name just before she/he put you in the back of the car.

On the downside, you might not have the use of your hands to control the scanner.

In support of this cutting edge social experiment, I hereby firmly pledge .50 cents toward your bail should the unforeseen occur.
