Hi, I have been reading and reading but I think I am just getting more and more confused. I have a big problem, last week I noticed that my scanner wasnt making much noise, and I found out that Wabash, Indidana's sherriff's dept. changed there system to the SAFE-T system. This is a big bummer for me because I know nothing about this and have many questions. I have a BCT15 Trunktrackerlll. My questions are as follows. 1. All I hear now on the " SAFE-T system" is a bunch of noise cause my scanner is not digital, there is a way to decode this noise isnt there???? Isn't that what the Trunk88 programs and so forth are suppose to do, or are they just to make a non trunking scanner trunk???? I just bought this scanner about a month ago and have no expirience with trunking and might not get any if I cant decrypt this noise. I built a data slicer and tried to run these programs and nothing. I tried the older one because the new ones instructions said it was not compatible with a data slicer just "audio card"???? How the heck is that done? what is the audio card thing all about, all I read was about the slicer. So I tried the older versions to try to get it to work and it looks like the computer is getting no responce, I dont know what is up I just want some good advise on what to do. I think I have the scanner programmed right, at least for something, like I said I have never delt with this safe-T system, but I am getting encrypted noises. Running TRUNK88 4.63 W/ slicer to com1"I hope is default". Running it in XP I hope that is ok. The program is suppose to automatically do something isnt it, it is doing nothing sys ID: nothin ; system: nothin. The cursor is scrolling and that is it. Please help
