From Columbiana County

Columbiana County:

Listening to Columbiana County,Mahoning County,Stark County.

Was into scanning about 10 years ago, and just starting over.
Got rid of all my stuff except a Pro-2024, put on a shelf, fired it back
up and getting interested in things again.

Been doing a lot of reading in forums and looks like it's all
starting to come back to me...Much more new products to
check out, and Plenty more reading.

Hello and Greetings from Northeast Ohio.

I live in the City of Delaware, just north of Columbus. My wife says she'll let me subscribe here as soon as I pay off my digital scanner, a Radio Shack Pro-96.

In Ohio, I monitor Delaware, Westerville, Dublin, Ohio MARCS, and Marion County. (About 3x a year I stroll up north to Whidbey Island, WA State and monitor everything I can hear in Puget Sound...)

You will need to get a trunk tracking scanner. If you wish to listen to any state agencies such as the Ohio State Highway Patrol
then you will need to get a digital scanner.

I suggest going to the wiki and researching the different scanner models to help you
decide which one best suits your needs.

I'm surprised that there is only one in this list from Allen Co/Lima. I used to live there and get back there on occasion, curious as to how things have changed there.

Mainly curious if the Lima PD, Sheriff's Dept. and Shawnee PD's have changed much, personel and communications wise. I used to hate the radio system around there.
I thought it was funny though, I once called to get my truck opened and they sent Lima's biggest ladder truck out :) although I hope they changed that policy.

Lake County

I reside in Lake County, Ohio. I monitor all public service in Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties. I use the BCD996T for Lake County Digital Trunked. I use the BC895XLT for Geauga County and a Radio Shack Pro-2026 for all conventional frequencies.

I use the Pro-2066 in the mobile for conventional and Geauga County Trunked.

There are a few talkgroups that I have not been able to indentify in Lake County. 5808, 1296, 6256, and 5744. If anyone has this info, please email me.
