I-call in OKC

I haven't seen any I-calls go across the state system in OKC, but that's not saying that they don't ever do them. In your 780, all you have to do is make sure that the I-call feature is "on". To do this, goto Menu, Trunked Data, Bank (for the selected system), I-call (#7 on the menu), then selece on of off or only. If you have a TG scan list set up, you can enter an ID that will pick up all I-calls - just type ".0" (it will show up as "i000000" when you hit enter). This is especially useful on an EDACS system, as the 780 does not pick up both radio IDs using the i-call, and will switch to any other active talkgroup unless the I-call option is set to "only". On motorola, it displays boths IDs, one after another, so is not needed too much unless you have your scan list, and still want to listen to I-calls.

Hope this helped.

OHP CAR-CAR

last time i was in okla i stopped by the local pd in osage co and had a nice talk with my contact and a few min's later . a trooper working the area i had a talk with told me that all most all trooper's use 155.670 which is the state net if the trooper cant talk car-car with low band 44.700 . most sheriff's dept's have repeater's but have to give permission to the ohp for troopers to use . like for EX: 156.210 Osage Co , 155.985 Wash Co or just use 155.490 or 155.670 . because vhf can travel farther
