ttl, OHP unit callsigns consist of the the 'letter' of what troop they are out of, and always a 3 digit number (I belive). ex: K-572, B-424, and G(eorge)-xxx for the Tuttle area.

The three-digit number that phil_smith refers to is their badge number. If you hear a two-digit number, it is either a supervisor or a -really old- trooper :)

In addition, there are the turnpike units, who ID by the turnpike name: Turner-XXX, Cimarron-XXX, Kirkpatrick-XXX, etc. There are also some specialty designators, can't seem to find the list right now, have to look again later.

Well, I had to go back a year and a half to find this, but this is what was posted back then. Several people contributed information, including (but not limited) to Crayon, Foster_006, Okla_Lawman, and myself. If anybody has any updates and/or corrections, lets get them posted, then this list should got into either the RRDB or a Wiki.

Not sure if it matters a whole lot, but I know the Cimarron Tpk. troopers (YA) now ID as "young-(badge #)"

Hadn't heard that, I'll have to listen more closely.

Can't use Wiki for this

Can't seem to find a place in the Wiki for this sort of information (Wiki seems very disorganized!). Not the first time I've been unable to put something in for the lack of an area. Fast2, after we get this list whipped into shape, can it be added to the state TRS db page?

I can confirm mapexdrum's info. I hear a lot of "Young" units on the Turner now. Not sure if it's units covering shifts for traditional "Turner" units that might be out sick or days off, but I have heard this designation for the past couple months.

I Travel Up Turner Everyonce And While And Would Appriciate If Someone Could Provide Me With Some Interesting Frequencies Too Listen To On The Way Up.

Also I Haven't Heard Anyone On The Ohp 800 Mhz Frequencies Near Geary And I Would Appriciate If Anyone Can Tell Me If They Moved And To Where They Moved.

Thanks In Advance

The main designator I hear for Tulsa is Baker.....I think Xray and Young units serve
the turpikes. Those are about all I ever hear.
