OKC Area Scanner Meeting- FEB07

Well folks we are almost upon the next installment of the OKC area scaner meeting. This month should be an east side event. Chinese food is always good but so are new suggestions...as long as they don't suck.

Tuesdays are:
6,13,20,27

My vote is for the 13th.

I NEED to go i just got my new BCT15 scanner and i need "LIVE" help with it, i wish it was sooner than the 7th but what ever works for yall,

This is just a suggestion theres a really really good chineese place in Choctaw called China King Buffet 6.99 a person

I am thinking the 13th might be a problem for some. Not everyone will do Valentine's on the 14th, and for those trying to do some sucking up, they may not be able to make it.

Of course, I don't care either way, but I vote for the 20th.

Golden Corral on Air Depot? We can get the banquet room reserved.

Regular chinese place on the east side? Or did we want to try radiationX's place for $6.99 buffet? CSI's golden coral might be a little on the high side (seems like buffet was like $12 last time I was there, but I could be wrong).

I'd be up for any of those places, but there is a different chinese place just east 15th & Air Depot, it's a little cheaper, but also much smaller. There is a few mexican places and there is also a Steak & Shake i've been to with the Mustang Club, so i know they dont mind large groups.

Golden Corral isn't that expensive. We eat there often enough. Steak and Shake would be awesome. The wife and I have been trying to find time to go there. I don't think the 6th is going to work though. If the people that are cool with the 6th are cool with the 20th, then I vote we go for the 20th.

Scanner meeting

Hello. I am new to the OKC area, and am working in the RF/COMM industry here. Do I need to be a member to attend the meeting, or is it a public type of meeting? Thanks.

Come one, come all. Glad to have you aboard. No membership needed, just an interest in the field. I would say you have that part covered. It is a very informal gathering. People always bring radio's, some more than others. Lots of radio talk (scanner's/ham/public safetly). We have a good mix of people so you should fit in quite well.

yeah, I've just been so busy, there hasn't been much time to get online, unless it's work-related...and the last thing I want is something electronic vibrating my eardrums lately, which is why I haven't been on 70cm.

I just figured up my hours...I'm going to have a TON of overtime this week again. When all's said and done, I'll have gone 2-1/2 weeks without a day off. My first day off will be Monday..

So anyone oppose the 20th? Apparenly CSI can't make the 6th, and since he's one of those east sider's, I guess we could move the meeting to accomodate....

I personally don't mind the 6th - anyone else? That is coming up tomorrow though....
