OKC Area Scanner Meeting- FEB07

You folks decide what works best for you. I don't have a preference for the date. I am also open to trying Golden Corral to accommodate CSI although the Golden Palace pretty much has them all beat. If I'm in town and don't have to dig my car out of a snow drift, I'll attend on any Tuesday.

I prefer the 6th, the 20th is still a little far away...but thats just me. And of course the Place of Gold is fine with me.

Sure, I give up. Everyone seems to be stuck on Chinese. I think it is some mind control thing. Not going to be able to make it, so doesn't matter anyways. After the last Chinese place, I am kinda turned off on it and I did state ahead of time that my DW thought the place sucked, lol. You know something is wrong when the cooks are wearing jackets while working in the kitchen.

Maybe I am just in a crappy mood.

I will catch everyone next month at another Chinese place.

For myself, I have made a command decision. I'll be at the Golden Palace on south Air Depot at 7 P.M. this evening 'cause I have to eat one way or the other. All parties interested in radios and communications are welcome to share the table.

Finding a babysitter for 5 of the boys is not a problem, but we are still tethered with the 4 month old. Going into that last place made about as much sense as leaving the baby out in the parking lot. It wasn't good for him, and it really destroyed our ability to eat.

We barely touched our food and left. Of course, the people at the front counter could not understand us when we were telling them it was too cold. Just kept saying "sorry" over and over and then took our money.

KK5FM is probably right. On the screen, what I wrote comes across really dictatorial - and that's certainly not the way it was intended look (except as it applies to me). All I'm saying is that I was already half planning on meeting on the sixth and whether or not the "official" meeting is tonight or on the 20th, I'm up for some Chinese if you folks are too, come ahead!

Does anyone have any interest in having an earlier meeting? I always work 3-11p and there are one or two days a week I could meet between 1-4 pm but I can't ever make the evening meetings. Any opinions on a lunch meeting sometime?

At least you guys are doing better than the Tulsa crowd. Last months Tulsa meeting was a no show for all but two people.

And yes, I do remember eating at Earl's and that was awesome. So, I think Chinese should only be an Eastside thing, since the one here is really good. You other folk pick "other" eateries.
