Has anyone had a chance to run ETrunker yet on Oklahoma City's EDACS system? I've been hearing quite a few digital transmissions on the system lately and was wondering if anyone had logged any of these talkgroups. The database on this site is only listing a few analog testing talkgroups.

Yes, I have ran etrunk on it for a few days. I have about 350,000 hits on the voice channels from the time I have been monitoring (this includes the mysterious "Type F" transmission). The most active groups include 289 (02-041) with 40,968 hits, TGID 273, with 22,924 hits, and TGID 274 with 16,009 hits. There are several others that have a few hits also. I have included my spreadsheet below for your enjoyment.

Guys, what's the latest? Has anyone ran Etrunker on OKC's system lately? If so, did you come up with anything interesting? My guess is that it wouldn't be too much longer before they begin simulcasting OCPD and OCFD repeaters onto the new EDACS system. Those of you with the capability of running Etrunker please keep us updated. :D

simulcasting?

Newbee here, I've been monitoring the edacs on a pro-96 over the past wk.

Tonite, I noticed dispatches(fire i think) on tg 1281 and 1282. I believe they are simucast with the regular 400 system. Just wondered if this is something new or if they've been doing this for a while.

Looks like RandyB was right - the simulcasts have begun!

JStemann, try scanning the system in "conventional" mode if you can. Your PRO-96 will totally ignore any digital transmissions. You should hear the data channel, but temporarily lock that out and see if you hear any other digital. Let us know! Good job on finding those.

hearing pd on there some now

I've still got the 96 in trunking mode. I was getting what I "believe" to be digital comms earlier in the day on tg 1284. The tg would show but the audio consisted of a beep or two the data-like static then another beep or two.

This was mixed with the "testing ??? 1,2,3 etc" on tg 1284. I "assumed" they were going between analog & digital.

I've got a 785d set up in search mode with arc250 logging a history file for me. I'll go back later and check over the freqs and see what I can find out.

It would be great if you filled in your location in the profile so at least people would know what city you were talking about.

The one with the beep then the hash then the one or two beeps is provoice. Your 785 will not pick that up at all, even though it is on the trunked system. Only etrunk or a ProVoice radio will recognize that group. They used to only have the analog "test 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" and a digital "testing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1".

http://w2sjw.dyndns.org/comsounds.htm

This website has the ProVoice as heard by an analog scanner (or digital for that matter!), and as decoded on a Provoice Radio. You can compare what you hear on your scanner to that. (The ProVoice is about 2/3 of the way down). The decoded ProVoice on that page is the OKC system.

Yes I know that but, it's handy to me to see where people are from. If someone puts a city and state, that still leaves things pretty broad and shouldn't compromise security. I just thought I'd mention that.

I'm currently receiving what appears to be simulcast of the old system. IDs I have seen at a glance are, 1283,1284,1285,1286, and 1297. I think I have 1285 nailed down to be Hefner Division, but what (patrol, traffic, etc) I don't have a clue.

If it's simulcast, listen on another scanner (if you have one) and confirm that's whats going over the VHF system. All of the VHF channels are identified in the RR Database section of this website. If you are sure about what you're hearing, submit it on the database so we can all see it (and program it in our scanners).

Good work!
