I was recently cleaning out my garage and found a brand new glass mount cellular antenna from Ameritech. It was made by The Antenna Company and the instructions are dated 1995. I cut off the cable and put on a BNC connector to just see how it works.

Well, amazingly it works great. I didn't install it on my car, but made a simple desktop mount. I stuck the two halves together and hot glued the inside part to a piece of plastic. Seems to work well on both 700 and 800Mhz. I tested it on Unitrunker and SDR-Trunk with good results.

Found an Andrews brand that looks the same for $13 on Ebay.

Had some Larson ones that looked like that, they worked well as scanner antennas too. Often made very well when the dollar went further too.
