1:30am Chicago Time and I just finished using the PSREdit software. I was kinda nervous but things turned out OK. Programmed a bunch of stuff. Man, this was smooth for my first effort. I found the software very easy to use. Give it up for Mike!!!!!!!!

Hey Mike, I don't think someone has mentioned this yet or not, and it looks to be simple...

for the battery charge time, can you make it so we can set it to 0? I don't like the scanner to charge my batteries, but would like to keep it set for NIMH so the low batt indicator works right. Setting the scanner to 0 disables the charger, but the software won't let me go that low.

Yep, I'll fix that.

And also, I'm sure you've already heard the requests, etc for allowing the ability to change multiple talkgroups' scanlists at one time, instead of having to go through each TG one at a time.

Thanks man

You can do that now. Select the talkgroups you want to change, right click, and choose edit Talkgroup Object. Any scanlist changes will be applied to all selected talkgroups.

I keep getting the following error when trying to create the following TSYS in PSREdit.

1. The system is a VHF Trunked system: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=4205

2. The error: "Access violation at address 0040E76E in module 'PSREdit.exe'. Read of address 048F1DC0.

I have not encountered this error in any creation of 700 or 800MHz TSYS's that I have created thus far.

I'm seeing this here as well. I'll get it fixed.

Paul and Mike,

I travel through IL on I-64 frequently so have Scott AFB programmed in my I-64 IL p96 (sometimes we overnight at the base RV park).

I sucked that file out of the 96 and opened in PSREdit. The Tables came in correctly as
460 759 460 136.0000 12.5.

However, like any VHF/UHF Motorola system, it still imports as 800/900 so VHF/UHF will need to be manually selected in software.

This system always works when traveling through but range is limited. My p96 has the three custom 3600CC settings as in DB page. I scan it with a 96 and 2096. Anxious to try this new scanner next trip around Memorial Day.

I haven't had a chance to dig into that issue yet. I went looking for that p96 file you uploaded for me last night and couldn't find it. Could you email it to me?

Also, while I'm here, I just uploaded 1.03 to the website. It fixes the issues reported this morning, and a few others I found in the process..

This zip has a p96 with Mot UHF in banks 1 (Langley AFB) & 2 (NOB NorVA), P25 VHF in bank 3 (VA STARS) and Mot VHF (Scott AFB - Paul's system) in bank 4.

I imported these to a blank PSREdit file (also in this zip) All Mot tables imported correctly but System Type for each is Mot 800/900. The P25 imported properly, just as it is in the Pro-96. P25 Manual, STAT and correct tables.

My thoughts are that Paul can import from the (20)96 and edit the System Type to VHF, then save and load to PSR-500 scanner.

At some point I'd really like to see a "reorder" feature that allows reordering of the assigned blocks of memory etc... For example, if I sort on TGID (16, 48, 80, etc.), I'd like to have them laded in the radio the same way...

Right now there is no order to anything in the radio and you have to step through each or run the search function.

If have a couple of scenarios for wanting this --
(1) my police districts each have there own talkgroup .. they have 'talkaround' talkgroups and I like the ability to put my radio (396) in HOLD and then step to the next channel/talkgroup down to go directly to that TG...
(2) fire units operate on a talkgroup (say TGID 144)... they go to a comm channel to talk to dispatch (TGID 112)... if I'm holding on one TG, I can easily move around to another related TG

Right now for these scenarios, I have to step through all of the TGs in the TSYS because there is no order to them at all...

I found and fixed this. It'll be in 1.05, probably later on tonight.

Yep, it's on my wishlist here as well. I'm just starting on the RR web import now, but that's obviously going to take a bigger block of time so that may get put on the back burner for the moment.

Swapping talkgroup and conventional object order (like an up and down arrow) would be relatively easy. Assigning a specific ObjectID is a little more difficult (especially if there's another object already on that ID), but still doable. It's just a matter of time and priorities.

Opps, you already put the Starr notice out. However, both are looking more and more like Windows based editing programs. I.e. Copy/Paste Move groups/systems.

Mike,

What a wonderful program and just in time too! I got my radio Thursday and just a few days later I bought this awesome program.

Response to my e-mails has been the quickest I have ever seen. It's certainly nice to get a reply at all, most e-mails to programmers seem to get lost in space somewhere. Thanks for actually supporting what you sell and doing so darn quickly.

I've recommended your program to all my PSR friends.

Thanks

Les
