One problem, the TV antenna is horizontal and most all Land Mobile are vertically polarized. So you should turn the antenna 90 degrees to vertical polarization. See how that works.

I'm very well aware of rf polarization and the theory & practice of how it works. Patch antennas are a different beast which receive well merely by moving a few inches one way or the other, and good for vhf all the way to 800mhz. This is only a 12x14" flat patch antenna so placement can be anywhere. :wink: 73, n9zas
