I just added the ability for op25 to send sound to the PulseAudio system in lieu of ALSA. This may or may not be a good thing depending on your Linux system as it seems some - notably RPIs of varying flavors - have issue with Pulse permissions, particularly it seems when you are running them headless. If you have working PulseAudio, you can tell op25 to use the pulse library by specifying "-O pulse" on the command line.

Advantages: may be less stuttery/prone to buffer underruns compared to ALSA
Disadvantages: permissions problems can sometimes be a bear to resolve on headless servers

what is the command to update op-25?
"git pull"

Depending what updates, you can then either just restart op25 (if it's just .py files) or rebuild/reinstall if there are .cc/.h file affected.
Code:
cd ~/op25
./rebuild.sh
