SDS100/SDS200: opening.bmp issues

I've got to be so close... I'll mess with it tomorrow, it is saved in correct folder, 24 bit, opening.bmp and is 226kb... Thanks for all your help, I've got the scanning part down with location control and all my favorites lists and now just want to personalize a bit.

Just carefully review all of the parameters that are listed in post number 4 above.

it's an SDS 100, yes the BMP is in capital letters. I've tried paint.net and paint 3d... how can you change BMP to bmp?

Here is a link to a template I made. Its set up for the correct dimensions and file size. Just rename the file from "opening.txt" to "opening.bmp"

The file linked in your post won't work. After downloading the file you posted as "opening template.txt", and renaming it to "opening.bmp", the image size is only 5 bytes (basically an empty file). Opening it with a graphic editor program shows a "non-valid bmp format".

Download the file attached to this post below, "opening.txt" to your computer and rename it to "opening.bmp" (all lower case). It's just a solid red graphic.

Connect your SDS100 to your computer and choose "Mass Storage". Using Windows Explorer, copy or move that "opening.bmp" file to the BCDx36HP Folder on the scanner's SD card.

When you disconnect your SDS100 from the computer it will re-boot and show that solid red screen for a few seconds while it is booting up.

Here is a video I made with that explains all the steps. I do recommend using the software paint.net. It's the only software I have experience with but it does work perfectly with .bmp files

Also, I created the image to just be a black background.

Somebody slap me!! I was saving the image as 240x320 but I was backwards with height and width... Something so simple... Now it worked!
