I’ll probably be the unpopular opinion here but, the fastest way to slow down the unecryption process is to fire off emails and phone calls to decision-makers asking when they’ll deliver.
They’ve said it’ll happen. They haven’t given a date. That’s life folks; we need to let the process work it’s way to completion while appreciating that the collective voices were heard resulting in decisions. Not many counties/agencies take heed of those voices....

It's not an un-popular decision. You can always email in a nice professional manner and just ask the questions. Like I said you still want to give them at least 60 days or so to come to the plate. The Fire Chief made the decisions as well as the other chiefs and they serve the public and part of their paychecks and pensions are paid by the tax payer. Trust me they have bigger fish to fry on a daily basis on managing their work force and the county for sure.

Totally agree. Let's not become a thorn in their work place. The Chief was gracious enough to change the decision, let's not have him change his mind back due to negative emails. WD6ABC
And besides its the sherriff's department that owns the work effort
The Sheriffs does not own the whole project. The OCFA has their own radio communication department too.
But the system as a whole is owned by the Sheriffs Dept
I guess if we want to keep going in circles over who own what then we can "agree that the tax payers own" the system. It doesn't matter who runs it or owns it but OCSD and OCFA have radio comms and they manage different aspects of the systems. So at the end of the day both OCSD and OCFA are going to have to work together on this project.
Garden Grove PD tweeted at 1905 PM. Was there any other public warnings? Was there any unencrypted radio traffic concerning the multiple fatal stabbings? Maybe CHP? Any news media warnings?

PD will always be encrypted in ORC. Twitter will be your major source of info from them

I’ve been listening to the feed for about 15 min now and haven’t heard anything
I have heard calls go out on it within the last hour.
I've been listening to it all morning.
If its an official feed than it would have a star next to the feed saying official. FYI
It looks like the feed is working. Heard MetroNet dispatching
This is only the Central Dispatch (3F) on the left audio channel and North Dispatch (2F) on the right channel. No tactical talk groups.I see there is a official feed on Broadcastify of the Metro net dispatch channels.

I also want to thank FDVoice and Metro Net for the feed. You did a good thing. Those of us that are interested in how our county and cities governments are functioning appreciate the feeds.
